Kedzie Ave. Cookie and Peggy,(Mother and Daughter "In Laws" to each other)have created a wonderful little shop that you will never want to escape from! Cookie prepares her famous chicken noodle soup everyday and other delectable styles on a rotating basis. There are tasty salads and a unique variety of fresh made hot and cold sandwiches. The specialty is homemade corned beef. It melts in your mouth! Cookie is generally the wizard behind the food and Peggy is the cupcake and baking expert. Speaking of cupcakes..you must save room for dessert! The cupcakes are scrumptious. I had a yummy vanilla cupcake with purple butter cream icing, my daughter had a double chocolate cupcake with a peanut butter center and rich dark chocolate icing. They have a wonderful variety of unique cupcakes in mini and regular size. I can't wait to try the red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing!
